The previous owner added the newer deluxe twist grips controls, a few pieces of newer hardware and a belt guard. The seat is a Messinger B-600 model with sliding adjustment. The pedals end caps are not scraped up and are the original Torrington #10's. It has pretty nice vintage heavy duty use 26" balloon tires front and rear. The headbadge is an Arnold - Schwinn "MAJSETIC". The 1948 model year can be identified by the following: There were no welded-in motor mounts The front fork tubes did not have the round 'Safety Plate. Carter N703,N704, Tillotson MT12A carburetor. The original heavy duty Schwinn rims are stamped SCHWINN TUBULAR S-2 front and rear. Carter N655, N666, N703, N704 Tillotson ML5B carburetor. The bike is equipped with the factory H model engine and is in good running order. The rear fender was die cut at the factory for the belt and the welds on the frame are heavy duty to accommodate the Whizzer motor. New generation whizzer numbers look like this WME000000 Would be nice to the case still. tommacmurays numbers would indicate a 500 series motor. The serial number is stamped in the bottom of the crank hanger housing and begins with C9.The left side frame - chain and seat stays were dollied or "pinched" at the factory for rear belt to pass. ahow2013 whizzer is not a wc-1 it's a NE Whizzer,from the information and pictures he has provided.
